Our country has always been following the cramming education mode for earlychildhood education which is based on teacher-centered or imparting knowledge as themain purpose. Influenced by foreign open concepts on early childhood education,ourdomestic nursery education keeps trying and get a complexion that Constant change,diversified development. After a period of exploration, transformation phase ofpreschool education has formed. However, classroom as separate unit for childrenactivity is still used by nursery school on architectural space pattern which can’t meetthe requirement of transformation period. The fact is that theoretical researches have notyet given special design which is suitable for nursery education activity, even thoughthey had provided enough improvement measures on current building space or adaptedto the space of open preschool education. By studying, after extracting and refining ontraditional transformation phase of early childhood education by practical experienceand analysis of nursery school building space, puts forward the basic unit activity spacepattern and make a exploration and research on transformation period’s unit activityspace design of nursery buildings.This thesis consists of five chapters:Chapter OneThe preface, with discussion of the research’s background, purpose and significance, plscurrent overseas research tendency and uniqueness of the thesis, establishes the outsetand the direction of the research. Chapter TwoThis part expounds domestic and foreign development stages and tendency ofpreschool education, tries to find out factors that affects space arrangement of nurserybuilding by analyzing unit activity space’s formed and tendency, summarizes newrequirement for space arrangement of nursery buildings.Chapter ThreeThis part, as an entry to status analyzing on research body, introduces researchingmethods and selecting principles of study subjects, and gives analysis to classifiedmaterials from the questionnaire with graphs, pie charts and bar charts. It, on the basisof research and analysis, indicates that the current situation of our nation’s preschooleducation is appearing to be ever-changing and developing in many aspects despite themain approach of pouring education. By studying and analyzing the present conditionof kindergarten space pattern for activities it prepares foundation for following research.Chapter FourThis part makes an optimization research based on two aspects from the scale and spacedesign of unit activity space. Explores and puts forward a design strategy for a suitablespatial space of transformation activity unit.This part makes an optimization research based on two aspects from the Opennessandspace design of unit activity space.On the basis of China’s national conditions, studiesthe openness between the activity units and summarizes the promotion of optimizedstrategy for openness.Chapter SixThis part, as a conclusion, delivers summary to the questions raised in the thesis.
