Along with the development of the science, technology and social-economic formation,human being has gone into the time of experience economy. Then, product design havetransformed from pursuing the function to the pursuit of psychological comfort andemotional experience. And now, an increasing number of designs pay more attention to userexperience to embody the design of people-oriented idea. User experience is consistent withthe theory of product innovation, then concerning the culture and technology is based onhumanity to create a new experience mode for them. For the product, it is not only a usefunctional incarnate, but a show that is about a cultural incarnate and a unique thinkingbehind the culture, even is a tool which satisfy the user’s emotional experience. Nowadays,product design has developed from a situation that form follows function to the other thatform follows all. So the form can follow emotion and joy. Ultimately, the form is stillfollowing experience to give an excellent experience to the user. Under the background ofcontemporary culture, this is a new design method, an innovative design thinking.Therefore, this article selects the innovative method from USA, Japan and someEurope to analyze the cultural connotation behind it. And, combining with the developmentsituation in China, the article summarizes it and compares with the innovative method ofindustrial design from several aspects. Then, it sums up the study of the action design,expound the significance of product innovation in new era and analyze some morerepresentative design cases in order to find how to use the action design to realize productinnovation. Finally, it validates the method and draws a conclusion based on designpractices.
