The Evaluation And Research On The Landscape Of Resort Hotel In South Region Of Yangzte River

Vacation tourism, as one of the most important parts of tourism, hasoccupied more and more market share. Therefore, as the basis forvacation tourism, resort hotel design has to a great extent influenced theoverall feelings of vacation by vacationists.Currently, researches of theresort hotel are mostly concentrated in classification and standards,design of single case or single function, management, culture of specificarea, etc. But the studies of the overall landscape of resorthotel isrelatively scarce.This paper, based on the theory of ‘Social investigation and study’,will take twelve typical resorts in south region of Yangzte Rive asresearch objects. Firstly, search for basic information of them includingsurrounding environments, floor spaces and layout, and analyze the type,characteristics and composition of them. Next, achieve hierarchical orderweight value of evaluation index system and comprehensive evaluationmodel of landscape quality through the way of analytic hierarchy processand composite index analysis. Then, gain the distribution of factors and comprehensive quality rank according to the grades and opinions fromvacationists and landscape designers. Finally, analyze and summarize thecurrent situation and disadvantages the research objects. And give thesuggestions in the aspects of themes, layouts, landscape elements, cultureand recreation to provide some referencesto the resort hotels in the samestyle and in south region of Yangzte River.The results showed that, about the landscape quality of these twelveresort hotels, there is only one object-BANYAN Tree in Hangzhou-under the first level, with the proportion of8.33%; two objects-FourSeasons Hotel at West Lake in Hangzhou&Sheraton Wetland ParkResort in Hangzhou-under the second level, with the proportion of16.67%; seven objects-Sheshan Le MERIDIEN in Shanghai, HuanxiuResort&SPA Hotel in Suzhou, Palace Lan Resort&Spa YangchengLake in Suzhou,Yangcheng Island Hotel in Suzhou,Hill&River Hotel inHangzhou, Amanfayun Villa in Hangzhou,Lingshan Hilton Resort inWuxi-under the third lever, with the proportion of58.33%; two objects-West Lake Hillview International Hotel in Hangzhou&Shuntian BiboResort in Wuxi-under the last level, with the proportion of16.67%.The main innovation points of this study is:1) Research the resorthotels in south region of Yangzte River from the aspects of evaluation onlandscape quality. And make up for a lack of relative research by buildingthe evaluation index system of the landscape in resort hotels through the way of AHP and comprehensive index analysis.2) Gain the informationand evaluation data of research objects by the theory of Likert Scale andvacationist and landscape designers to ensure the result objective andprofessional.3) Give the suggestions of landscape design to provide somereferencesto the resort hotels in the same style and in south region ofYangzte River.The disadvantage of the study is the inadequate collection of theresearch objects, with the higher standards rather than the lower or thespecific one, which has made the results limited by regions andincomprehensive and subjective. Hopefully, relevant issues will bestudied in the further research.
