Dispatcher Training simulator System(DTS) is a computer numerical simulation system thathave the functions of training and assisted analysis in dispatching operation,it provides animmersive scheduling environment for dispatcher that does not affect the actual operatingsystem, help the dispatcher familiar with the basic operation of the powersystem,emergency treatment and recovery control, master the functions of managementsystem (EMS), DTS is always the best tool for Training dispatchers.However, with thecontinuous development of the grid, existing DTS also exposed a series of questions in use,has been hampered the increasing use of DTS.In such cases, the paper analyzes the generic structure of DTS system, the background ofthe development of domestic, the process and current situation, noting the developmenttrend of DTS system. And to Foshan Power Supply Bureau as an example, by analyzing thesystem requirements in performance, functionality, hardware and software configurationsand other aspects, with the existing supervisory control and data acquisition system(SCADA) and DTS systems for the research foundation, proposed the building of amoderately advanced, reliable and practical, easy to maintain and upgrade the newdispatcher training simulator systems.Based on the above requirements, this paper proposes a new model processing based onSCADA real-time data, by sent parameters, graphics, real-time data through the firewallfrom SCADA/EMS system to the DTS server, by instructor establishing training state inthe DTS server, modify the data and settings for lesson plans on the training state, DTSserver sends these data, information to the SCADA copy. Trainees operating on dispatcherinterface provided from the copy of SCADA improved the authenticity of training. Thismode is completely different from the conventional method of DTS, under the previousmodel, scheduling system of DTS is simulated, not real scheduling system; while thisscenario, the scheduling system is the actual scheduling system, its interface, parameters,graphic, are all real. And the difference between the actual scheduling system lies solelywith the different data sources, DTS data source is training state controled by teacher, andthe data source of actually scheduling system is collected by plant station. In addition,added protection device and automatic safety devices, added evaluation and analysis functions for training results, Improved the usefulness of the system,developed a variety ofparameter setting interface, achieved the automatic association of signals, reduced thedifficulty of system maintenance and use, reduced the time of lesson plans set anddebugging. Through integrated design, achieved a simultaneous upgrade of DTS systemsand SCADA system, reduced the re-development process of the system.Finally, to the practical application of Foshan Power Supply Bureau as an example,describes the training process and the use of the system, through the introduction of ananti-accident maneuver case, description the function and use of the system, The long-termuse of Foshan Bureau also proved that the system has good value and promotional value.
