However, application of information technology in construction industry is still not mature. Competition with the construction industry is more and more fierce.In this period, society must diligently direction to improve competitiveness by using information technology, and promote the designindustry.BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) is a new stage ofinformatizationconstruction of China’s construction industry. It provides a new mode of production,Using digital way to express the physical characteristics of the building and function characteristics. It is to realize the integration and sharing of information in the different stage of construction project, providing a collaborative work platform for all the parties involved in the project. It can improve the production efficiency, reduce project cost,reduce the project cycle. Since the beginning of this century put forward this idea, governments and enterprises around the world are carrying out the practice and exploration of BIM with their respective characteristics. BIM technology is leading a revolution in the construction industry. Application of BIM in China has just started. But the popularity and cognitive of BIM,implementation of information in the construction industry is represent the general trend.Using the technology of BIMwill produce significant changes at different stages of architectural design. It can greatly improve the design efficiency and quality. At the same time, along with the popularization of green building, green building design is facing more and more complex. The construction industry is also in urgent need of using BIM technology to energy consumption analysis design method through the building life cycle.This article is divided into four parts to the connotation of BIM technology and the application of research: 1, Thispaper introduces the concept and features of BIM, analyzed theBIM transfer function in the process ofbuilding information, and based on the resultsof the analysis advantages and characteristics of BIM summarized.2, Based on the actual case as example, paper expounds the application ofBIM technology in the building in the whole life cycle, and in combination withthe BIM project, aiming at the different stages of architectural design, paper researchon application mode of BIM technology in various stages of architectural design, anddiscusses the technical means to realize the application mode, including: collaborativework pattern, specification andstandard, BIM model classification, data transmission.3, Similarly to the practical cases, this paper introduces in detail the applicationof BIM technology in the design and analysis process of green building; Involved inthe BIM project as an example, paper introduces in detail the process of greenbuilding design and simulation analysis using BIM technology, and summarizesthe technology advantage and meetingthe difficulties and challenges, and analyses thedata interaction method and system between different software;4, For the BIM encountered in the architectural design of the obstacles andchallenges, and the future development trend of BIM, at the end of the article is to doa systematic analysis.
