With the development of internet of things and the rise of manufacturing industry,household appliances is developing to the direction of intelligence, which brings forward anordeal to product maintenance. It is of great significance to adopt condition basedmaintenance systems in improving the maintenance efficiency and accuracy, so the safety ofthe product should be ensured, while reducing the maintenance costs. This paper studiedcondition based maintenance systems on the base of RFID technology, exampled by theintelligent refrigerator of Zhongshan Meike Refrigeration Devices Co..The main work of thispaper is as follows:For the complexity of product failure and which is difficult to directly troubleshoot inintelligent refrigerator, in this paper, fault tree analysis method and FMEA(Failure Mode andEffects Analysis) is adopted to analyze the reliability of intelligent refrigerator. Fault treemodel is developed from three aspects as machinery, control and electric of functional failures.On the base of fault tree analysis, detailed FMEA fault table is established of multiple faultmodel in intelligent refrigerator, as the fault diagnosis knowledge base.For the condition of uncertainty in status parameters of intelligent refrigerator,complexity of the system, being susceptible to the man-made operation and other workingoperation, measure is taken. Grey Forecasting Model is delivered by status data collectedduring operational process of refrigerator. MATLAB software is used to finish the work. Theexamination results indicate that,by taking improved Metabolism grey forecasting model, canpredict the status data of intelligent refrigerator. What’s more, the prediction is accurate. It iscapable to predict the latent fault in advance, that avoiding the occurrence of seriousaccidents.On the base of the demandanalysis of intelligent refrigerator system, the initial model ofcondition based maintenance systems is developed, and testing is taken on product. Testresults show that the system can operate normally and reliably, and the smart card system cancollect and transfer the status data of intelligent refrigerator successfully,also can realizereal-time fault diagnosis and orientation. The Intelligent Maintenance System is able to realizethe lifecycle maintenance and management of the product, increase the efficiency ofmaintenance, while decrease the cost of maintenance.
