Project Management Application On The R&D Projects Of Large Turbo Genrator

Electricity is the foundation of industrial development, the level ofeconomic development of a country and its electrification adapt.Turbo-generator development and national economic development is closelyrelated. Developing large turbo-generator meets national energy developmentstrategy. The large turbo R&D projects with a long cycle and high technicaldifficulty, special manufacturing model. Applied Research to carry out a largeturbo R&D project management is necessary and practical significance.The paper analyzes the characteristics of a large turbo-generator R&Dproject and the main problems facing the development. To improve the R&Defficiency, shorten R&D cycle, project management had been applied focusfrom project scope management, plan management and implementation&control management. Main work as follows:1) Analysis product developmentprocess of the large turbo-generator, clear the main content of the variousstages of research and development projects, summarized the objectives andrequirements of the R&D projects, provided basic ideas and methods forproject range management of the R&D project.2）Analysis the work ofdifferent design stages, and determine the specific content of the various stagesof the work, offer a project team and project planning method for largeturbo-generator R&D project.3) Based on progress control, risk and issuemanagement, cost control, communication and coordination, analyzing themethod of large turbo R&D project execution and control. And proposed anincentive assessment mechanism based on the characteristics of the largeturbo-generator R&D project. Through the R&D project of1100MW class nuclear turbo-generator,demonstrated the effectiveness of project management applied in the largeturbo-generator R&D project.
