A Study About The Characteristics Of Living Space Based On The Perspective Of Local Life

This paper explores the spatial properties of4spaces including the shadow space, the extension space, the pro-green space and the dynamic space in order to dig out the endemic expression of the residential buildings in Kunming with the local life as the perspective.Starting from the basic endemic factors of Kunming, this paper outlines the city impression of Kunming. Due to the combined action of natural environment, social history and culture life in Kunming, Kunming emits a profound and unique smell of "Life City" in addition to being a "Spring City". The life in Kunming is slow, enjoyable and usual.After making a brief introduction to Kunming and the life of Kunming, the paper explores the shadow space of the residential areas with the nature climate of Kunming as the entry point. The shadow space of the modern residential area is similar to the eaves gallery space of "Yikeyin" dwelling. Three kinds of trait space are introduced in this paper: banding shadow space, bulk shadow space and dotted shadow space. The shadow space is how Kunming residential buildings react with the local weather (strong heat radiation).The extension space in the residential area is based on how the buildings react to the local life. The extension space is the space formed by the internal room space extending to the outdoor environment, indicating the wisdom that Kunming people change life space and their longing for the outdoor life. This paper explores the spatial properties of the extension space from three aspects:the extension of the bottom residents, the extension space between the window and the balcony and the extension space of the top-floor residents.In the part of pro-green space in the residential area, it introduces the green activity space of the residential areas from the perspective of green ecology. This paper elaborates the spatial properties of the pro-green space in three aspects:residential pro-green space, tree-shade pro-green space and under-the-shed pro-green space. Ecology and green is the city card of New Kunming and the pro-green space suggests the green life of Kunming People.As for the dynamic space in the residential area, the paper explores the outdoor life of the people in the aspect of outdoor group activities. The paper analyzes and explores the dynamic space and its spatial properties from2aspects:the pitch-point dynamic space and the boundary dynamic space. The dynamic space in the residential areas manifests the colorful outdoor activities and it is a container of the outdoor life for Kunming People.The spatial properties of the shadow space, the extension space, the pro-green space and the dynamic space in the residential areas are the spatial properties dig by the author in Kunming and these spatial properties are the endemic expression of Kunming life.
