Railway station’s carrying capacity has two kinds,the first one is departure linecapacity, the other one is throat carrying capacity.Since the complex layout of thestations’ throat,the Railway station’s carrying capacity is affected by its throatcarrying capacity a lot.For large-scale railway passenger station which with the morecomplex layout,its throat area is more complex,so the layout of its throat areaimpacts the carrying capacity more.Because the large-scale railway passenger stationis centralized processing passenger tranportation business,so it has high requirmentfor the punctuality. The most of existing studies were focus on the calculating methodof the throat carrying capacity, there’s a few studies work on the concrete measures ofimproving the throat carrying capacity.Firstly,in this paper,introduced the main equipment and technological process atlarge-scale railway passenger station,then analysed the major factors of the throatcarrying capacity of arge-scale railway passenger station,and got five major factorsat last,include turnout,depature line,shunting operation,vehicle taking and delivery,thekind of operation,which is one important conclusion in this paper.Secondly, through a lot of analysis and studies found that the research of theRailway station’s throat carrying capacity is equal to the research of the routeselection and its arrangement.Based on this conclusion, thirdly, this paper establishded the topologicalstructure of railway passenger station’s throat area, and combined five importantfactors to establish the model of route selecting and arrangement of large-scalerailway passenger station throat area. This model includes three constraints and aobjective. The three constraints are: every program only arranges one operation route,a device k has to satisfy the safty using interval when it occupied by differentoperation route and if two route are crossed, we should take some meature to avoidthis kind of crossing. Objective is: making the total delayed time of all operations inthe throat area at least.Finally According to this model, this paper choose to use the improved AntColony algorithm—MMAS algorithm to get the solver, and designed procedure ofMMAS algorithm. At last, this paper used a simple numerical example to verify thevalidity of modle and effectiveness of algorithm.
