| Gravity dam as one kind of the dams, is popular around the word because of its simplydesign, reliable operation and the adaptability for terrain. Temperature stresses as one of theprimary problem of gravity dams to study in guiding engineering design and constructionmanagement.In this paper, the main Ⅸ non-overflow section of Liujiaxia hydropower station asengineering example, using ANSYS software to calculate its quasi-steady temperature fieldand thermal stress of January and July, and calculat the affect of cold quasi-stability to damtemperature field and thermal stress on the basis of the quasi-steady temperature field inJanuary, and calculate the affect of the daily temperature changes to dam temperature fieldand thermal stress on the basis of the quasi-steady temperature field in July. The main resultsare as follows:(1)Make simulation analysis to the main Ⅸ non-overflow section of Liujiaxiahydropower station. First calculate the boundary conditions of the model, and then simulationanalysis in ANSYS, calculate the quasi-steady temperature field in January and July, and thetransient temperature field and July daily temperature variations transient temperature fieldduring the January cold.(2)Calculate the displacement of the main Ⅸ non-overflow section of Liujiaxiahydropower station, we can kown that the temperature load caused the dam displacementcyclical alternating with the seasons change which down the river, when the temperature rises,the temperature load caused the dam displacement down the river tendency upstream,Opposite when the temperature decrease, the temperature load caused the dam displacementdown the river tendency downstream, the displacement component is maximum in July, thedisplacement component is minimum in January.(3)Make simulation analysis to stress field of the main Ⅸ non-overflow section ofLiujiaxia hydropower station. Calculated the stability temperature stress of January and July,and unsteady temperature stress during the January cold wave and unsteady temperature stressin July daily temperature variation.In January low period, running winter temperature stress isquite large tensile stress, it’s value is similar to the tensile strength of concrete, plus cold, itmay split. In July high temperature period, the stress is mainly caused by temperature load isstress, large temperature in dam area, there is a large temperature difference in concretesurface and internal, it would cause considerable stress on the dam surface and adversely.Theaffect of temperatures plunged and daily temperature changes on the surface of the dam in therange of0.5~1m, it’s internal temperature has little effect, so stress occurs near the dam face. Results of this study provide technical basis for the maintenance and enhancement of theLiujiaxia hydropower station in its runtime. |
