Comparative Analysis Of Zhengzhou City Park Entrance Space

With the acceleration of urbanization，city parks have been gain more and more attention.City park entrance is a transitional space between the city park and the city which belongs to boththe internal order and external order. City park entrance plays an important role in city parks andthe city which has important research value。Now all kinds of city parks construction inZhengzhou is in full swing。City parks are constant changing with the development of the timesand the types of city park entrance have changed dramatically。This paper research on thedevelopment and changes of different types of city park entrance and inquire into their spatialcharacteristics and doing comparative analysis to make sense both for the improvement of futurecity park entrance design and enhancement of city landscape.This paper uses the methods of literature reading，field investigation,interdisciplinaryanalysis and charts analysis. Combined with the investigation of Zhengzhou city park entrancespace, the paper reviewed the history of evolution of city parks and their entrance space andanalyzed the related components and divided the city parks into five types----square type,architecture type, plant-based type, landscape mark type and other types according to the effects ofdifferent elements of Zhengzhou city park entrance and the focus is the first four types. The paperstudied overall trend of Zhengzhou City Park entrance space and variation tendency of differenttypes of entrance at different times and summarized the characteristics of different types of citypark entrance space and made a comparative analysis. Finally, the paper brought up somesuggestion for the future development trend of city park entrance in Zhengzhou which couldprovide some reference for similar cases.The main achievements of this study are the following aspects:(1) Evolution of city parks and entrance space to provide historical background forZhengzhou City Park;(2)Space, functions and elements to provide research object for Zhengzhou City Park;(3)Detailed survey on entrance space of21Zhengzhou city parks from aspects of history,size, quantity imported, elements and other aspects;(4) The classification analysis of Zhengzhou city parks entrance examined to conclude thechange trend of Zhengzhou city parks entrance. The implication is that the city park entrance haschanged dramatically with the development of history which could be reflected in the followingaspects. Firstly，A gradual population increase under the same scale；Secondly，The park entrancefrom closed to open；Thirdly，The form transition of the park entrance border from a closed solidwall to semi-enclosed fence to wide open planted border；Fourthly，The entrance space transitionfrom architecture oriented to planting space oriented and the focus of ecology and landscape.(5) Spatial analysis from macroeconomic influence factors of City Park entrance, mediumspace link of City Park entrance and microcosmic spatial features of different types of city parkentrance to summarize three factors affecting city park entrance——historical factors, planningfactors and Human reasons；four types of external linkages and three types of internal links； comparative analysis of the main characteristics of the major four types of City Park entrancementioned above.
