| In the era of frequent disasters, green space, as an important part of the city’scomprehensive disaster prevention system, plays a significant role in disaster prevention, which cannot be underestimated. Water cities in the Taihu River Basin, which have highpopulation density and rich products, often suffer from floods, typhoons, continuous hightemperature and other natural disasters, and human-caused fire and pollution arecommonly seen in these cities. The diversity of disasters and seriousness of loss are veryprominent. Combined with the characteristics of the water city, it has become the commonconcern for the government and common people to establish a safe, secure and targeteddisaster prevention green space system, and improve the city’s overall urban disasterprevention and relief capabilities.Based on the review of relevant domestic and foreign theoretical researches andconstruction practices, the paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of the planning andconstruction of urban disaster prevention green space system in the water city, whichincluding the complicated and diverse types of disasters that are different from other cities, and the advantages and challenges of planning and building a disaster prevention greenspace system under the influence of water. Secondly, discusses the strategies for planningand building an urban disaster prevention green space system in the water city from threeaspects: spatial structure, functional structure and hierarchical structure. In terms of spatialstructure, a "ring, corridor, wedge, garden" linked mode should be formed according to themorphology of green space; in terms of functional structure, it combines the characteristicsof disasters commonly seen in the water city, and focuses on the study of green spacesystem planning and construction for multi-disaster prevention, so as to resist floods, storms, continuous high temperature, fire and environmental pollution, and other disasters;the hierarchical structure can be divided into community-level, district-level and city-levelstructures, focusing on the construction of multi-level progressive disaster-preventiongreen space system, which is mainly consisted of the disaster prevention green space unit, sub region disaster prevention green space and central disaster prevention green space.Making full use of the advantages of the water city, it proposes to build water and landdisaster prevention and rescue channels, so as to achieve communication between urbandisaster prevention green spaces, and emphasize the comprehensiveness and integrity ofthe system. Finally, based on the study on the disaster prevention green space system in the water city, and combining with the actual situation in the downtown area of Suzhou, itanalyzes the current situation of urban green space for disaster prevention in Suzhou, andproposes appropriate programs for planning and construction accordingly. The paper has two innovation points: Firstly, focusing on the water city, it exploresthe relationship between the planning and construction of disaster prevention green spacesystem, the urban morphology of the water city, and the environment. In view of thefavorable or unfavorable conditions, it proposes some solutions; secondly, focusing oncomprehensive disaster prevention, it constructs a multi-level, multi-structure andmulti-disaster green space system that integrates disaster prevention with disaster shelter. |
