In recent years, with the development of modern size and operation of powergrid technology, so that future power system repairable operation of more dependingon the secondary control system security and stability. For a planned overhaul to theinformatization transformation of condition-based maintenance management systemof equipment, equipment maintenance management system towards a more scientificand standardized way. At present, a kind of passive checks on a time basis modelbeing developed in advance of the State as the starting point for device-proactiveinspection and repair mode. Study on condition-based maintenance of relayprotection in practice reduce the workload on the ground, especially in reducing thenumber of unplanned outages, allowing to improve power supply reliability.Combining reality of Qinhuangdao, condition based maintenance on relay protectionare studied.Firstly, the paper researches on the basic idea of condition-based maintenance ofrelay protection, general train and demand analysis to a certain extent in areas.Secondly, the paper researches on relay of two State and four-State Markovmodel for reliability analysis of relay protection and non-Markov method inreliability analysis of repairable systems.Finally, according to Qinhuangdao data on Qinhuangdao power networkequipment data for statistical analysis.Systems analysis based on Markov modelsupported by the Qinhuangdao area protective relaying equipment as a whole, everyyear, manufacturers and typical models of reliability analysis and reliability ofaverage maximum maintenance time and maximum-best available rateanalysis.Non-Markov model based on probabilistic reliability analysis of relayprotection, access to the system identification analysis of failure rate andmaintenance rates.According to the power grid failure time data for the first time,fitting and maintenance of normal distribution of the Qinhuangdao power grid failurerate assumption of normal distribution of time, access to the Qinhuangdao powernetwork optimal repair cycle for minimum maintenance.
