With the fast development of modern manufacturing industry, the increasingcompetition between enterprises incentives, and therefore need to shorten the productinnovation cycle. However, most of the manufacturing enterprise resource planning ERPsystems based on technical weakness, the lack of data to support. Business to commonCAD software applications have to stay in the more shallow, its lack of more in-depthdiscovery and development. With increasing process CAD data types and amount of data,the designer of the database easy to overlook the establishment and administered. Toalleviate these problems, this research UG secondary development of technology-based,use theAccess database, build cylindrical gear reducer rapid design system.The paper selected as a typical example of cylindrical gear reducer to the Windows7operating system UG5.0software development platform, VC++6.0integrateddevelopment environment, creating a rapid design system reducer used parts. Besidesrelying on the SQL Server database for data management information system to create alibrary that implements the part parameters associated with the database, so thatdesigners can enter different parameters, get the ideal model for the call. This issue todevelop a system with good accuracy and stability as well as system expansioncapabilities for machine processing enterprises to provide a reference, to help furtherresearch and extension data management system.This paper first round based on UG gear reducer rapid design theory system andmodeling methods and techniques involved, key support. Then, based on UG secondarydevelopment to achieve size reducer standard and non-standard parts in reverse drivenmodeling, as well as by the characteristic features of the selected parameters and inputdrive UG build3D models. Finally, the establishment of a database of structuralparameters reducer components, to achieve a characteristic parameters centric productdata management, the existing management system parameters transferred from thecenter to the center graphic.
