The Study Of Development Of Shanxi Modern Urban Planning

This topic comes from the History of Shanxi Architecture, this is a cooperation between Taiyuan university of Technology and the Construction Department of Shanxi Province. The study is mainly comes from the research in three cities, like Jinzhong, Xinzhou and Yangquan, included their modern streets, the existing historical buildings, and combined with the development of history, culture and economy. The study examined the development process of modern urban planning and development in shanxi, the three cities of modern planning time and characteristics were discussed and summarized.In this paper, there are six chapters. The introduction recommends the research topic, to supple the vacancy in the study of Chinese modern city planning, sorting date of all the modern city construction in Shanxi Province, analyzing and summarizing the the modern urban planning in domestic and overseas. The second chapter mainly combined with the economic, cultural, institutional, industrial layout, etc. aspects, describes formation and the evolution of urban planning of these three modern cities of shanxi, summarizes the change and the characteristics of these three cities. In modern cities in shanxi, in general, because there is not enough money, and less business, the private economy was reduced, development is very slow. But the Church Building has deep influence, they can be seen in every city of shanxi basically. During the Anti-Japanese War, in addition to Datong, other urban construction are sluggish basically, or even been severely disrupted. So the urban planning development of modern shanxi are vacant in this period.The third chapter mainly introduces the content of the modern urban planning and development in Jinzhong. From the territory, population, industry, city road, international transportation, green space, public facilities, residential construction, culture and education facilities etc., the chapter introduced in detail the development of modern Jinzhong city. Then from the above aspects, the paper introduces two county-level cities, Yuci and Pingyao, which occupies an important position in Jinzhong city.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the development and planning of the Xinzhou and Yangquan, which is the rising stars in the development of cities. From the same area, population, industry, city road, external traffic, green space, public facilities, residential construction, culture and education facilities and etc. aspects, this chapter introduced in detail in aspects of Xinzhou and Yangquan this two cities in the development of modern construction.This research mainly studies the evolution of modern urban change, planning and development in Shanxi Province, this planning study is based on the important of the form of Shanxi city industrialization, the formation westernization and the traffic facilitation, this provides information and In the contemporary, the city is destroyed or constructed, in this situation, the author thinks that, in the old city transformation should be combined with area historical and cultural value. On the one hand, we should refuse the transformation ideas of pushing down in large-scales, and should consider architecture, history, culture and monuments synthetically, focus on changing the quality and protecting of the overall city. On the other hand, we need to respect history, analyze the characteristics of the city, reflect the culture city. We look forward to the development of urban construction and planning gradually mature and normatively.
