The power system size is continually enlarged with the development of thesociety economy, the power grid is required to operate more reliably. The electricpower system is rapidly developed toward high parameters, large capacity and highvoltage since it is coming into21centuries, forming a loop power network of5OOkV and220kV as a main power frame in jiangxi Province. With the expansionof the power system in the province, it is necessary for us to approach and solve alot of detail problems during the construction of district dispatching system andoperation management of the power network. This article is further discussing thedesign of dispatching automation system, based on the current status on the abovesubject and combined with the construction experience in Jiujiang area.Also the paper also analyzes the security problems about the dispatchingsystem of the Jiujiang electric power corporation.At last the paper tells t how torealize the solution. The main method is to use the special firewall only used inpower system in the interface of the four security regions.We have excellentfinished two stages of system security rebuild, But the security protection isceaseless, we must try our best to improve the security for the electric powerdispatching system in the future. The works above are carried out successfullyand the capability for security protection is improved. Thus it can provide timelyand correct data to the power system operation. And it benefits the power systemoperation.
