SF6is a kind of inert gas, which is colorless, odorless and non-combustibles, not onlyhas stable chemical properties, but also excellent insulating properties and arcperformance.SF6is applied to electrical equipments as an insulating and arc-extinguishingmedium. In recent years, SF6gas leakage problem has become a major flaw of such devices,but due to the limitations of detection methods and techniques to deal with such defects notonly seriously affected the normal operation of the device, extended the repair time, but alsoincrease the working time on the job site. The emergence of SF6leak detection infraredimaging technology solves all the problem above. it can accurately find leaks on the devices,and easy to carry and operate. The technology can be said to provide the necessary equipmenton-line detection means for the SF6condition maintenance work, and make up for a blankthat checking online-SF6equipment. For safe and stable operation of the power grid, on thenational economy of disaster mitigation, preparedness, the means has important scientificsignificance and enormous economic benefits.By placing IR imaging technology into the power system of charged equipment SF6leakdetection, the use of SF6gas leak detection technology for IR imaging Inner Mongolia PowerGrid and all over110kV voltage level SF6equipment, especially equipment for leaks andmajor hazards charged detection equipment on-site, determine the correct detection methodsand judgment based and real-time video, pictures, image data leakage aggregatedclassification, the cause of the leak of classified, summarized the advantages of IR imagingtechnology leak, leak diagnosis made of the impact IR imaging factors and solutions.According to field test experience, the larger factors affecting find solutions or measures toreduce the interference of the corresponding. According to field test and ultimately resultingdata and image, summed practices IR imaging leak test for the provision of standardized testmethods of operation, procedures and precautions.The project research realized by the use of SF6leak detection infrared imagingtechnology on the devices charged, can provide reliable scientific basis for conditionmaintenance of SF6electrical equipment, shorten outage time, saving manpower andresources, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, in lowering equipment security risks,themeans may improve power supply reliability, and promote the sustainable development of thegrid has important significance.
