The vehicle driving simulation system with characteristics of environmentalprotection, safety and high fidelity can meet the increasing demand for drivingtraining resources and has a good prospect in automobile driving training. Theexisting driving simulators are imperfect, for the moving trajectory not in line withreal situation while passing the curve path. For the above problem, dynamiccharacteristic of vehicle is research, dynamics model for passing curve path ispresented and a vehicle driving simulation system with good fidelity is developed.Firstly, according to one-track model and two-track model, longitudinal andlateral dynamical model of vehicle are established respectively. Construct the modelof power train, especially the mathematical model of tire based on “Magic Formula”.Secondly, based on the dynamic performance of vehicle and the characteristics ofvehicle structure, dynamical model for passing curve path is presented. Combiningthe genetic algorithm with simplex substitution method, Genetic-simplex hybridalgorithm is proposed to solve the dynamical model for passing curve path. Theexample results show that the hybrid algorithm can improve the stability and real time,verified the effectiveness and superiority of the hybrid algorithm.Thirdly, to meet the requirements of real-time, data acquisition module forjoystick with general USB interface is build based on DirectInput components.Redraw the intersect vector in vpIsectorBump to construct Detection geometry, andbuild custom class for collision detection between vehicle model and virtual scene.Based on DirectSound component, the sound simulation module is built to implementdynamic sound simulation of vehicle operating.Finally, simulation system is built based on the idea of object-orient andoperating effect of the system is provided. The results which is obtained by analyzingposture data of passing curve path, and comparing simulation moving trajectory withtheoretic trajectory showed the reasonability of simulation trajectory, thus theproposed dynamical model for passing curve path is useful.
