With the development of computing performance, computer graphics, and virtual reality systems, driving simulators have been one of the important tools for designing of new vehicle products, studying traffic factors of "human-vehicle-environment" systems, and training drivers. The driving simulator has become a very important research direction in the international science research field. The Road Transportation Simulator Institute of Kunming University Science and technology has established the Advanced Driving Simulator for transportation. It uses a real driving cabin, but the instrument is not made use of enough. The vehicle speed and engine speed displayed on the screen. It can not reflect the driving behavior really, so we should put the vehicle speed and engine speed data of the vehicle model to display on the instrument. Then we can reduce the distortion degree of the driving behavior. The paper introduces a system in engine speed watch and vehicle speed watch of driving simulator.In this system, firstly, the engine speed data and vehicle speed data get form the vehicle model is converted into analog data (voltage data) through multiple function board PCI7483 and the VC data acquisition and conversion system soft ware. It simulated the speed of soft axle through the transducer electromotor and simulated the pulse ignition system of engine through V/F electro circuit. Then they control the speed watch and the engine speed watch then to establish the engine speed watch and vehicle speed watch simulator system of driving simulator. Then I analyzed the test result error of the simulator system. Finally, realization of the system's real-time performance is discussed.The run status of the simulator system is steady. The operation is convenience. The choice project is economical. The run precision is high. After applied to the driving simulator developed by our Lab, the practicability is proved.
