Abstract:As a special lifting and transport equipment used in ports and docks, single-portal crane, which possesses the advantages of high flexibility and operation efficiency, is mainly used in loading, unloading, stacking and horizontal transporting operations. Jib system is the core working device of portal crane. Its design of jib system will directly affect the performance of the whole machine. Therefore, there are important theory significance and practical significance on optimization of jib system.In this paper, researches are conducted on the principle of optimization design of jib system, the main comment and results of researches are as follows:(1) The mathematical model about multi-objective optimization of the Jib system, which was regarded as a whole, was established based on the unified objective function method. Mixed penalty function method was used and optimization software of jib system was completed by using mixed programming technology of MATLAB and C++for completing the optimization of each hinge point, the bar length and weight about boom system. The result of the optimization design shows that, basing on above measures, the variation of the luffing resistance moment and unbalanced torque dropped by44%and33.4%respectively, the total gravitational potential energy fluctuations decreased by17.2%, also the total weight dropped by0.6%.(2) Considering lifting yaw and lateral swing, kinetic equations of single boom suspension structure in general are deduced. According to the actual moving state of the crane, the most significant position while lifting and turning was selected as analysis case. Solving equations and draw relationship between loads and time about boom system before and after optimization, which provides basis for the finite element simulation.(3) According to the load, static, modal and transient dynamics simulation about the jib system before and after the optimization were conducted by the software of ANSYS. It verifies that mechanical properties of boom system after optimization are better than boom system before optimization. Also jib system after optimization is right to practical use.(4) Horizontal movement characteristics experiment of the portal crane’s spreader was established. The results showed that the experimental and simulation results coincide with each other and proved the accuracy and reliability of the optimized.
