SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system is the productionprocess control and dispatching automation system based on computer. It can be usedto on-site parameter adjustment and all kinds of signal alarm and other functions.Because the SCADA requirements for each application is different, so thedevelopment of SCADA system for different application fields are not the same.In electric power system, SCADA system is the most widely used, the mostmature technology development. As an energy management system (EMS system) isone of the most important subsystem, with complete information,improveefficiency, correctly grasp the running state of the system, speed updecision-making, can help in diagnosing the fault state of the system and otheradvantages, it has become an indispensable tool for power dispatching. It is toimprove reliability, safety and economic benefit of power grid operation, lightensdispatcher’s burden, realization of power dispatching automation andmodernization, plays an irreplaceable role in improving the efficiency andlevel of scheduling.The application of SCADA in remote control system of electrified railway onthe earlier, in ensuring the safety and reliability of power supply of electrifiedrailway, improve the railway transportation dispatching management level plays alarge role in. In the process of development of SCADA system ofrailway electrification, along with the development of the computer, different periodshave different products, at the same time, our country also introduced fromabroad SCADA products and equipment, which has led to a telecontrol system ofelectric railway to a higher goal development. SCADA system as an important partof railway power supply system, traction, is an important guarantee forimproving power supply reliability and quality of power supply. The rapiddevelopment of high-speed railway at the same time, pays more attentionto infrastructure and operation safety, the importance of SCADAsystem by the prominent.
