Toroidal drive is a new type of transmission mechanism, with a smoothtransmission, high transmission accuracy, large transmission ratio, high power density, itis a perfect drive mechanism. Because of the advantages it has wide applications in thefields of engineering machinery, such as wind power. But the structure of the mechanismis very complex, conjugate surface processing is very difficulty,it’s easy to produce errorin processing and assembling process.Error mechanism and load sharing has importantinfluence on the precision of transmission. Thus, there are important meanings to set upthe error distribution of Toroidal drive.The following is the main research contents in this paper:Analysis of several common error toroidal process and establish of the Toroidaldrive with error space coordinate system.According to the principle of spatialengagement and matrix transform to derive the error surface equation.Throughdifferential method,coefficient of each error influence on the profile accuracy and thegeometric error influence on motion precision coefficient are obtained.According to the error coefficient,combined with the actual processing capacity andthe actual production of accuracy requirements of products,based on ensuring thetransmission precision, using an improved optimal limit method to reasonably allocateeach error, providing theoretical support for the industrial production of Toroidal drive.Starting from the actual conditions of the factory production,using the traditionalmethod and the improved error distribution method for optimal limit deviations were keyparts of bodies error distribution,lay the theoretical foundation for the establishment ofToroidal drive.By CMM measurement procedures for the use of the helix ultra Toroidal drive bodymeasurements,explore the Toroidal drive transmission mechanism conjugate surfacemeasurement method and the measurement data were analyzed treatment.
