| Abstract:In recent years, with the operation of passenger line, reconstruction of existing line and improvement of railway infrastructure, railway freight transport capacity has been greatly improved. Meanwhile, with China’s rapid economic development and industrial structure adjustment, freight transport demand, especially high value-added freight transport demand, is growing rapidly, and high value-added freight transport has become a new growth point of railway freight transport. However, railway freight transport is difficult to meet the demand of high value-added freight transport and its market share is few due to the low service level of railway freight product. So, it is necessary to design railway high-end freight product to improve its service level and market share of high value-added freight market under this new situation.In this paper, the characteristics of railway high value-added freight transport demand are analyzed, and a system dynamics model is constructed to predict development trend of railway high value-added freight transport market; Besides, market adaptability and problems of existing railway freight product are analyzed, so we propose to develop a new railway freight product, which is called railway high-end freight product, and its definition and characteristics are defined. Then, railway high-end freight product is designed from the aspect of service properties and product spectrum. To consider the benefits of both shippers and railway freight enterprises, a bi-level programming model is constructed to position service properties of railway high-end freight product. Finally, quality control strategy of railway high-end freight product is studied based on quality function deployment method, and some measures are put forward to ensure quality of railway high-end freight product, such as improving technical condition of organizing railway high-end freight product running like a passenger train, establishing a market-oriented marketing concept, improving monitoring and evaluation system of railway high-end freight product, and so on. |
