This paper analysis the adverse effects of reaction power in the power system, illustrates the necessity of using the method of reaction power compensation and its important significance. With the development process of reactive compensation technology and its devices, expounds the stales and characteristics about var compensation technology in the different periods. By living example the paper illustrates reaction power compensation's application for 10kV distribution line in our country. Begining with the basic theory of reaction power compensation, illustrates the basic principles and basic compensation methods, and its function.The paper introduces the working characteristics and parameters of the thyristor, investigate the thyristor's specialty and technique in series, in allusion to the problem existences in reactive compensation with capacitor at presently ,bring forward the advanced utility technique investigated controlling 10kV capacitor with thyristor switch in series, brought forward the static state and dynamic voltage, designed the main circuit framework which used with reason, analysis and calculates the thyristor's parameters for its selected .I study thyristor trigger's technic, device a digital circuit under max value burst mode and complete it's emulation text. I expatiate the measure of devaluing disturb for thyristor trigger system.Under the MATLAB power simulation environment,capacitor input-elimination control and thyristor-trigger control were studyed, the same result of theory analysis were get.
