Research On The Spatial Characteristics And Renovation Strategy Of Traditional Residence In Hangzhou Old Town

In recent years, in the renewal practice of traditional dwellings in Hangzhou City, has gradually formed some mature mode, has achieved good results from the operational and practical ways. However, in the existing update methods, mainly to remove the building facade renovation, have a lack of updated model,which is systematic and starting from the original residential space features. In the existing study of spatial pattern of the traditional houses), have many research achievements in the aspect of formation, development, implication and so on, but a lack of one aspect, which is using its characterize in terms of quantitative analysis systematically applied to update the practice.Aiming at this situation, the author researches on the characteristics of traditional folk house interior space form, to explore the possible relationship with its updating strategy. By sorting and classifying the24traditional dwellings in Hangzhou old city area, combining with qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper study on the spatial morphology from the aspects of present situation of residential space, basic characteristics, residential space, public space, relationship between structure and space form and so on. Then we can get the classification model based on the overall space system and some basic scale data of traditional residential space, which can be used to provide reference on renewal strategy.This paper attempts to find a renewal strategy based on the characteristic of traditional residential interior space form, which we hope to be able to restore the original space features, improve the quality of traditional residential interior life, provide certain reference value and significance for the current traditional residential renewal activities in Hangzhou.
