As the development and application of natural gas worldwide, the usage ofcivilian gas meter increases annually. Therefore, under the premise of ensuringmeasurement accuracy and reliability, to improve gas meter test quality andefficiency has become a problem that cannot be ignored in the design of gas meterverification device nowadays.But to consider the current achievements of testing, theefficiency of our diaphragm gas meter testing need to be improved, in which thelong-consuming verification problem of small flow point.This study combines internal structure and working principle of diaphragm gasmeter, and studies a rapid error-calibrating technology for diaphragm gas meter withsonic nozzle based on the measuring principle of double-timer method and rotaryequivalent volume. On the basis of existing standard apparatus, an overall automaticverification system of auto-detecting control system is designed. The automaticverification system shortens detecting time at the lowest-capacity point and improvesefficiency of verification.The system is centered on an industrial computer, which controls the work ofhardware equipments. It based on the requirements of the conditions collectmulti-channel analog signals such as pressure, temperature, and humidity by theadvantech data acquisition modules, and control the work of hardware equipmentssuch as sonic nozzle by the advantech I/O control modules. Collection modulesbased on ARM Cortex-M3microprocessor are designed to accomplish the collectionof pulse output signal of the photoelectric sensor and the fiber optic Sensor. Theupper computer software written in VC++programming environment realized somefunctions, such as automatic error verification, automatic data collecting andprocessing, process control, database access and management, automaticqualification judgment, and automatic output of the verification certificate.Results of experiments and on-site application show that the apparatus is highlyautomated and highly reliable, which significantly shortens the detecting time at the lowest-capacity point and improves efficiency of verification.
