Speed is a key factor of road traffic injuries, recent researches show that there is asignificant connection between speed and the severity of traffic accidents. Effectivemanagement measures can reduce traffic speed, the accident rate, the severity ofaccidents, and also improve the road traffic security. Presently the quality of trafficparticipants on road in our country varies considerably. Enhancing the quality of driversto improve the traffic safety level in this situation need to invest plenty of funds, and itwill take a long time to work. Deceleration facilities, especially mandatory speedcontrol facilities, are widely used on dangerous roads to solve the problem of roadtraffic safety in our country for its characteristics of less investing funds, gooddeceleration effect, wide application range, etc. since it can effectively solve the securityproblem of mountainous highway, and greatly improve traffic conditions of highway.However, there have been many problems because of the lack of correspondingstandards and guidelines. The study focuse on the technology of deceleration facilitiesapplication.The paper analyzed the present application of deceleration facilities throughextensive investigation and data collection. Firstly, it points out the defects of theexisting standard by analyzing relevant norms about the deceleration facilities in China;Secondly, According to different reduction effect and the mechanism of reduction, it hasbeen classified as mandatory, semi mandatory, warning deceleration facilities tofacilitate the selection of use; Then the mandatory reduction facilities application keyproblems are analyzed, including the type selection and the applicable scope is notmatching, unreasonable size design, imperfect supporting facilities, etcThe paper builds speed bump and speed hump of3D volume pavement model byusing multi-body dynamics ADAMS/CAR. It explores the rule of driving comfort andstability under the condition of various height, width and shape at different speed byusing the simulation analysis. To ensure the vehicle safety, it puts forwardrecommended design values of deceleration strip and hump at different speed since it isbased on the standard of human exposure to whole-body vibration evaluation.According to the analysis of practical experience and relevant theory, the paper summed up the setting condition, location and design of deceleration facilities. Formandatory reduction facilities, it comes up with the perfect design of Supportingfacilities, including marking, warning signs and warning marking design. Finally, it putsforward some comprehensive treatment measures and deceleration facilities treatmentdiagram based on the characteristics of typical dangerous sections.
