| Urban historic quarters is the essence of urban cultural heritage, recorded the imprint ofcity life, accumulate the city historical and cultural context and to help people return tohistorical memory. It is an important part of urban sustainable development. As citiesgradually take seriously to the historical block, the value of the historical block implemented,public facilities play a more and more important role in the historical block. The publicfacilities of historic quarters cooperate with other environmental elements in the block,provide people with a pleasant public city space. This paper mainly studies the application ofinteraction concept in historic quarter public facilities design. Based on the status of publicfacilities in the historical block and design, analysis and reflection, combined with theinteractive concept, to explore new directions of historic block public facilities design. So asto better meet the emotional needs of the people in the historical block, to continue thememory of the historic quarters and to highlight the characteristics and connotation of thisarea.Firstly, the study analyzed the related basic theories of historic urban quarters andinteractive concept. Through analyses of the current application of interactive concept inrelated area and the status of public facilities in historic quarters, the study explored thefeasibility of combine interactive concept with the public facilities design in historic quarters.From the angle of system, the constitution of the interactive system is analyzed, and from theangle of the use experience, it studied the interactive expression of human sense in publicfacilities design of historic quarters. Then, starting from the public facilities of historic block,and from the angle of function, shape, material and elements of space environment, itconcluded the rules and strategies when interactive concept applied in the public facilitiesdesign in historic quarters. Finally, with public facilities design in the Catholic church area inWuxi as an example, a preliminary attempt of public facility design in historic quarters wascarried on under the guidance of interactive concept. |
