| ABSTRACT:With the extension of highway mileage and increase of highway tunnel traffic volume, the tunnel traffic accidents caused by tunnel lighting conditions are gradually increasing. A good tunnel safety lighting has become an important indicator of highway safety operation. How to confirm the luminance that meet the requirements of the tunnel traffic safety levels, how to achieve intelligent control of tunnel lighting, and how to reduce electric energy consumption of tunnel lighting, which has become a serious problem in transportation industry. The LED intelligent control and energy saving of tunnel lighting are researched based on tunnel safety lighting in this paper. The specific works are as follows:(1) The exit transition zone is proposed based on "Specifications for Design of Ventilation and Lighting of Highway Tunnel", and tunnel experimental environment model is established. Through studying "Code for Design of Road Tunnel", the specific dimensions of tunnel model are confirmed. The tunnel lighting segments are improved, and the luminance in the transition zone is corrected with the luminance of exit transition zone. The luminance and distance of lamps in each zone are designed based on the improved tunnel lighting zone.(2) The LED intelligent dimming optimization algorithm of tunnel lighting is proposed based on vehicle speed and traffic volume, and the LED intelligent control strategy of tunnel lighting is confirmed. The relationship between brightness dimming duty cycle is studied and established. The tunnel lighting luminance changing produced by vehicle speed and traffic volume changing is studied, and the tunnel luminance is compensated. The LED dimming algorithm of day and night are deduced, and the LED intelligent control strategy of tunnel lighting is confirmed.(3) The LED intelligent control system of tunnel lighting is studied and developed based on Zigbee wireless communication technology. According to functional requirements of control system, the structure of LED intelligent control system of tunnel lighting is determined. The collective device of illumination in vehicle and dimming control system are researched and developed based on Zigbee wireless communication technology, and the management system of LED tunnel lighting is studied and developed based on C#.NET. According to the characteristics and requirements of data communication, the Zigbee wireless communication protocol is confirmed.(4) Through analyzing the tunnel luminance and electric energy consumption before and after using algorithm in four situation that are luminance outside the tunnel(L2o(S)) changes, both vehicle speed(V) and traffic volume(N) inside the tunnel constant; both L20(S) and N change, V constants; both L20(S) and V change, N constants; L2o(S), V and N all change; the effect of the dimming algorithm is verified. The error of device for collecting illumination in vehicle and design luminance of tunnel model are analyzed. Through analyzing the experiments of the tunnel luminance and electric energy consumption before and after using algorithm optimization in four situation, the results show that when taking into account the effect of luminance outside the tunnel, vehicle speed and traffic volume inside the tunnel all change, the LED dimming algorithm can meet the requirements of tunnel safety lighting and save electric energy effectively, and the percentage of energy saving achieve28.07%. |
