Compared with the traditional gear pump,the internal gear pump has lots of advantagessuch as compact structure,high level pressure,high volumetric efficiency, strong antipollutionability,tiny flow and pressure fluctuation,low noise,long service life,high reliability,which isused widely in the area of industy that requires control precision, energy conservation, lownoise reliability.For the internal gear pump,the floating plate is a crucial component.With a precise ancomplicated structure,it determines the volumetric efficiency and service time of the internalgear pump. So it has a practical significance to analyze the characteristics of the floatingplate,which will provide fundamental basis for the optimization of its structure andimprovement of performance of the pump.Object of study is the IGP gear pump.With the aim of improvement of volume efficiencyand working pressure,reduction of noise and flow pulsation.The analysis and research iscarried out on these aspects such as: force analysis,leakage characteristics,triangulargroove,transition cavity, which will provide fundamental basis for the design of the internalgear pump.At fist,the3D model for the gear pump is established in this paper,some important partsare analyzed such as pump body,pump cover and floating plate.Then,because of the unbalanced force and moment on the two sides of floating plate,thefloating plate would incline,lead to the wear of the axial face of gears and floating plate andthe service life would be reduced.The results of dynamic area and working point will providedate for the optimization of the floating plate.In addition,the gear pump exists the problem of leakage,because of the specialstructure.so this paper set up the mathematical model on leakage flow of pump,and calculatedthe best clearance value between gear and floating plate.At last,the models of the triangular groove and transition cavity are established.throughthe simulation,a conclusion can be got that the existence of them will ease the pressureimpact,lower the noise and flow pulsation.
