The industry on equipment manufacturing is a foundation for country’s economic development. With the development of science and technology, the requirement of machining accuracy, in microelectronics, aerospace and other fields, become higher and higher than before. So, it is an important standard to measure a national defense and economic ability that whether the precision and ultra-precision processing tech-nology level high or not. The ultra precision machine can guarantee the machining ac-curacy of the product effectively, and the feed system of micro displacement is the core of the ultra precision machine, whose comprehensive performance can affect the preci-sion of processing products. The application of high precision positioning become wider and wider than before, it is an important factor to hinder the application that how to realize the large travel and high precision positioning. So, in this paper, the drive system with twist-roller friction was studied, which supported by the department of science surface project of Yunnan province. First of all, based on the predecessors’ re-search results, we design a new type of transmission mechanism with twist-roller fric-tion based on aerostatic slide-way. Then analysis it and analysis of the front for valida-tion based on ADAMS software. Finally, test the positioning accuracy. Its main content is as follows:1) Firstly on the basis of summarizing the research status at home and abroad, the advantages and disadvantages of the twist-roller frictional drive and movement rules were analyzed, the research significance was explained.2) A drive mechanism with twist-roller frictional, which can adjust the positve pressure and torsion angle according to need, was designed. According to the require-ments of large travel and high precision positioning, after the principle of friction drive was analyzed, the kinematics and dynamics problems of the twist-roller frictional drive mechanism based on high precision aerostatic guide were studied detailedly. Then the factor, which have influence on the location accuracy and resolution for cable, was analyzed, the relevant measures to improve the resolution were putted forward to, then the requirements of the high precision positioning were analyzed.3) The software Pro-E of three-dimensional solid modeling was used, the twist-roller frictional drive based on the design of front was modeled, the3-d model was imported to the ADAMS according to the interface module between the Pro-E and the ADAMS, then dynamics simulation to test the corresponding theoretical analysis. The results show that, the institution in this paper is feasibility and close to the results of simulation and theoretical analysis.4) The test bench was built to verify the theoretical analysis and simulation results. the agency resolution of this institution with the aid of sensors was test.Through the research, which can promote the development of the large travel and the high precision orientation in precision machining in a certain, and laid a certain foundation for the future of wide application.
