China manufacturing industry has obtained the considerable development in the past30years of reform and opening up, but Chinese manufacturing time has gone and faced a dilemma for the2008financial crisis. Era of "made in China" which means cheap cost and preferential policy has gone and go to the era of meager profit. Lost the cost advantage, manufacturing industry profits generally only have10%or even lower. Faced a series of challenges, the implementation of lean production is necessary.Based on the theory of lean production, this paper analyzes the current situation, finds the problem, makes improvement plan and carries out the implementation of on-site improvement activities through using relevant theory and methods for the application of lean production in tool workshop Dalian Fuji Tools Co. Ltd and makes some improvements. Combined with my internship experience and theory of application of lean production,"7S" management, optimization of process flow, equipment layout and line balance have been used.Through the analysis of the current situation of workshop, draw equipment layout and the workshop material flow, it can be found that huge contradiction between visual performance tool workshop equipment layout and logistics. It also can analysis the workshop environment, field management, staffing, equipment maintenance, other aspects of the current situation and the defect in tool workshop. In view of the tool shop problems, the main contents of this paper include the following aspects:First, this paper elaborate challenges in manufacturing mode with market competition becoming increasingly fierce, which is low production efficiency, and high production cost. In order to resolve this phenomenon, more and more enterprises apply lean thinking to enterprise management. The study of domestic and foreign has been introduced in this paper. Tools and methods used in the improvement of the existing workshop also are introduced.Secondly, it introduces the current situation and form of Fuji Tools Co. Ltd. Dalian, determines tool workshop as the object of study, and analyses the existing problems in workshop. Each question is improved step by step. The site environment is finished and rectified thoroughly and staff training is carried out through using "7S" management method in order to ensure the "7S" can be implemented thoroughly and long-term. The existing technological process have been analyzed from feeding to storage, and it inspect defects of each link, improve all the issues.It analyses and rearranges the relative position of each cluster workshop using the SLP method, which gets the feasible scheme to make out the optimal layout by using the weighted factor evaluation method. According to the production plan, the production cycle is calculated existing operation cycle is analyzed, the bottleneck is subdivided, solution is found, productivity is improved, the production cycle is shorten, production efficiency is improved and flexibility of the workshop is ameliorated.Finally, compared the production workshop of the index, it focuses on the transportation distance, production cycle, production line balance rate and define the feasibility and practicability in lean production of workshop management application.Combined the theory and practice and read a lot of literature, the historical background and development of lean production and application status in manufacturing enterprises have been grasped All methods and ideas in this paper have general versatility, which can provide a reference to the enterprises which carry out the lean reform.
