| This thesis evaluates the landscape education course s ystem in architecture college ofChina and draws a comparison with USA for improving the quality of undergraduatelandscape education. In the past several decades along with the process of urbanization andthe establishment of landscape discipline committee, urban landscape design has beendeveloped quickly in all levels. However its college course has not been built completelywhile other related disciplines like architecture and urban plan are already in perfect shapethat causes landscape students are not professional and skillful enough after university whichwill be the cause of impact the development of landscape design in the next stage.Based on the widely research. Institution of undergraduate landscape education inChina can be found in multiple colleges beside architecture cause of historical context. Forexample forestry, agriculture even engineering etc. They are perfect different from theresearch method to focus area. In terms of landscape is a branch of broad architecture thisstudy chooses course in architecture college initially. The major contents including acomparison of landscape education history to show necessity of this comparison study, togenerate the process of transformation of core in this discipline of these two countries todisplay the tendency of landscape education, to analyze the difference in general evaluation,cultivation target, and distinguish points of four samples from both Chinese and Americanuniversities in order to figure out the factors and consequences of discrepancies, in the endaccording to current situation of undergraduate landscape education in China, following theoptimization principle to give a personal view about perfecting the course system oflandscape education in architecture college.The major methods have been used in this thesis are literature founding, comparativeanalysis, cases studies and generalization, etc. First of all using comparison form to set upframe of thesis. Secondly, based on a large number of reference books to get to know thedifference of landscape education course among China and USA and then to discuss factorsand consequences of these discrepancies. In the end makes a conclusion of the enlightenmentof perfecting the course system of landscape education in architecture college from USA. |
