As one of the most important natural ecological environment in the earth, wetlandis called “the kidney of the earth”. It is not only a kind of ecological landscape withrichest biodiversity, but also a key environment for human’s survival. This thesis takes the wetland landscape of MeishanCultural Park as an example, poring on its landscape design and explores deeply thebalance between the ecological environment protection and landscape’s developmentas well as design of Meishan Cultural Park. According to relative theories of landscapedesign, an effective wetland landscape design scheme suitable for Meishan CulturalPark will be explored and its unique value and function of the wetland landscape willbe dig out combining with design practice. The thesis includes four chapters. The outline of the study is presented below.Chapter one serves as the general introduction, which includes the researchbackground, the purpose and significance of the research. Meanwhile, the authorexplains the content of the research and discusses a suitable approach. Chapter twooffers the theoretical foundation of this research and discussion of subdividing wetlandlandscape design theories. Chapter three aims to analyzing the current situation andexisting problems of Meishan Cultural Park, and puts forward considerations onhow to protect and develop the wetland landscape of Meishan Cultural Park landscapeand ecological environment. Chapter four is the key part of the thesis. It employs thetheory to guide the practice to realize the purpose of harmony between human and nature of the wetland landscape of Meishan Cultural Park, to achieve the ecologicalbalance. The construction of Meishan ecological Cultural Park should be appropriatefor the local characteristic of the environment to achieve sustainable development.
