Distribution Network Expansion Planning Including Distributed Generation

When distribution network is connected with distributed generation, It will have a great influence on the operation of grid. So it’s necessary to research distribution network planning including distributed generation. The paper accord to the effect of distribution network connected with distributed generation, and establish the distribution network planning model considering distributed generation, and applies improved cuckoo search algorithm to solve the distribution network planning.Firstly, the paper summarizes the various distributed power generation technology has been put into practical, and more comprehensive analysis of the impact after distributed power grid. Secondly, it introduces the basic content of distribution network planning and basic steps, and can be applied to distribution network planning optimization algorithm.The paper build the model of distribution network planning including Distributed Generation which consider distribution network about economy、reliability and environmental benefit. According to the model,the paper apply the cuckoo search algorithm, through the weight coefficient and the adaptive step length to control the cuckoo algorithm iterative formula,and then use the improved cuckoo search algorithm to solve this model and get the best location and installation capacity building and upgrading of the distribution network access lines and distributed power distribution network. Finally,the results verify the validity and feasibility of this method by calculation and analysis about examples of IEEE33node and a planning area. The example indicate that distribution network connected with Distributed clean energy can not only reduce line loss effectively and save purchase cost of power but can also produce a huge environmental benefits and increase the reliability of power supply.
