Issues of agriculture, farmer and rural area are concerned widely, and No.1central document has focused on "three rural issues" for11consecutive years. Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy, and the improvement of rural residential environment is an important objective and basic requirements of rural construction, which is related to the quality of farmers’life.And "Clean and tidy village" is placed in an important position as one of the connotations of new rural construction. Rural residential environment is an important part of rural development. Rural landscape visual quality assessment is a scientific basis for rural planning. But at present, there is little research on the visual quality evaluation of rural landscape in China.In this study, the aim was to evaluate the visual quality of rural residential landscape in Zhejiang province through public perception-based and expert/design approaches. With photographs evaluation methods,24representative photos from over2000photos were selected and used in the survey to rank rural residential landscape, to explore the relationship between visual preference and5latitudes and15landscape elements via correlation and regression analyses. Index is modified by relevant experts.The correlation analysis of results show the rural residential landscape assessment has a significant correlation with "order","cleanliness","ecology","specialty" and "diversity". All the five indexes are all very important, and lead to the result of comprehensive effect. In addition, different landscape elements also play different roles. The whole building style, architectural color, wall cleanliness, architectural features, advantages, disadvantages of artificial landscape, artificial landscape, public space are significantly correlated.According to the linear regression analysis, results show that "building color" and "Positive man-made elements" have a significant positive impact.Furthermore, according to the study, some suggestions are proposed from three aspects of overall view protection, ecological protection and local specialties protection.This study is the first to evaluate the visual quality of the landscape of rural residential areas in Zhejiang Province, which is innovated. But due to limitations of the photo evaluation method, there are still some shortcomings, such as the cultural deficiencies. It hopes that future researchers can strengthen this aspect of the research. |
