With the rapid development of modern industry, the market needs more high-level demands of transmission device, especially in the field of precision machinery. The demands of Small volume, big transmission ratio and high-performance transmission device is increasing. The new transmission mechanism has become the hotspot on the researches because the traditional gear transmission has been difficult to meet the demand of all kinds of special occasions.In this paper, we have researched on the cycloid steel ball planetary transmission which has some good points and applicability for all kinds of occasions, for example: no backlash, high transmission ratio, high efficiency, carrying capacity is strong, small size, etc. In order to accelerate the practical application and promotion of this kind of transmission mechanism, we have researched the parameter design and vibration characteristics for it. We have finished the following work:Have done research in the transmission principle of the cycloid steel ball planetary, and solve the general formula of the transmission ratio by the method of transformation mechanisms. We have focused on the analysis how the change of key parameters impact the transmission performance in the cycloid steel ball reducer design, and finished the dynamic emulation of the generation and meshing process of the hypocycloid and epicycloid based Mathcad.In view of the requirements of the existing design, we have researched the base for the cycloid steel ball reducer and designed the main parameters of it. Besides, we also have established a three-dimensional dynamic model of the one level cycloid steel ball reducer by using Solidworks software, and finished the parametric design for one critical parts cycloid disk by using the design module of Solidworks.We have established a dynamic model of the vibration of the one level cycloid steel ball reducer under two situations whether or not it has balance weight with mass centralized method. We also have researched its vibration characteristics after combined with the examples, and deduced the computational formula of the mass-radius product of two kinds of clump weight. Based on Adams and considering the two situations if it has balance weight or not, we have imported the input shaft component model that was established in solidworks environment to Adams by parasolid format. Then, we have carried out the dynamics simulations after adding the practical constraint vice and movement. Aimed at two-level cycloid steel ball planetary, we have established a dynamic analysis model and researched its vibration characteristics after combined with the examples.On the basis of Hertz theory, the model of meshing rigidity of cycloid steel ball pair have been established, and the meshing rigidity have been transformed into the equivalent torsional rigidity. On the basis of considering the rigidity of driving shaft, output shaft and cycloid steel ball pair, the torsional vibration model of multi-freedom system of double stage cycloid steel ball reducer have been established by centralized mass method.
