Although it has made some local precipitation, filtration measures, but still drop head congestion become a important problem in Yellow River irrigation technology popularization and application. In this paper, aiming at problems in Yellow River irrigation Wuhai city, Wuhai city are analyzed three tank (Ruyi lake, Linye lake, Chaoyang lake) under various operation conditions of precipitation, filtration effect, To study the different purifying mode change law of each water quality index, Test to simulate the head congestion occurrence regularity and drops head block water quality factors. The following main conclusions:(1) It has a great influence on precipitation time of precipitation effect. The Yellow River water precipitation can reduce the content of suspended sediment in water, But water containing sand shoulds not be long stay in the sedimentation tank,1-3days to water as the best control time sediment precipitation. Precipitation in1days for irrigation, Can purify the water quality and to reduce time of operation and management.(2) The operation mode and function of the settling basin has large influence on precipitation effect. Pool fish farming and other human activities increase the nutrients in the water, making water for irrigation. Tank full pool of aspect ratio greater than4, the former pool width is small, more conducive to the sediment precipitation.
