Oil tank trunks were the main form of transportation for the petroleum products.The petroleum company has difficult in the supervision to the oil tank trunk. For thisreason, the petroleum losses is huge in the process of transportation, which causes asignificant economic loss to the petroleum company. The supervision of oil tank trunktransportation is an urgent issue for petroleum company. The traditional supervisionmethods have some shortcomings such as high cost, low precision and poor real-timecapability. According to these disadvantages, a design of remote oil tank trunkmonitoring and control system is described in the paper. The system consists of twoparts, one is the remote control center, the other is the vehicle equipment. In the paper,the design of vehicle main control unit is described in detail.The general system, hardware circuit and software organization process design isdescribed in the paper, the final design of system is tested and verified in the last.In system design part, firstly the paper introduces the system’s composition andthe relationships between vehicle main control unit and other components. Secondlythe paper introduces the unit’s whole structure of hardware and state machinemodeling of software.In hardware design part, a hardware structure design of main control unit isintroduced, the ST’s STM32F103VB chip is used as main control chip, then thehardware parts selection and circuit implementation of different parts is analyzed.In software design part, firstly the paper analyzes the software functionrequirement of main control unit, then introduces the design of application softwarebased on μC/OS-II according to the function analysis. The application software isdivided into four missions, the paper analyzes the function of each mission and therelationships between them.In system testing part, the paper expound the principle and procedure of black boxtesting and white box testing. The simulation testing of the main control unit prove itsvalidity and reliability.In the last, the article summarized the design work of main control unit, points outthe shortage of the work and put forward some recommendations for the further improvement.
