With the rapid development of society, energy shortage is a serious problem that people have to face, the grid rely on traditional energy generation will face new challenges.Balanced scheduling in source and load can make power grid interactively and intelligently.Advanced Metering System (AMI) is the core foundation of the smart grid.Electricity Utilization Information Collection System is a rudiment of AMI in our country. For reducing our peak energy phenomenon, electricity utilization information collection system gets through real-time collection of user’s data, grid company has a better understanding of load state and power consumption trend of users, which can improve the accuracy of load forecasting and is an important role in energy strategy of demand side management.Context awareness technology used in the smart home will continue to improve our quality of life and provide strong support for making decision of behaviors. This paper proposes a method of load characteristics analysis which is based on the information collection and apples its application of load scheduling. From residential electricity load point of view based on electricity utilization information collection system, according to the analysis of residential electricity consumption behavior information which the data is collected by context awareness system, we obtain each period of residential electronic equipment using situation. Based on four classifications of electrical equipment, this paper presents a load scheduling model and algorithm according to TOU and takes an actual simulation for DR.Compared them with unscheduled situation for saving electricity, the algorithm has been validated the advantage of saving electricity expenses obviously.
