Abstract/Summary:
Since the21st century, China’s rapid economic development, people’s living standards greatly improved, automobile holdings increased year by year, the urban traffic congestion, environmental pollution problems has became increasingly serious. In terms of today’s society, the development of it is more and more attached to the development of traffic, so the road traffic control must be taken seriously. But the urban road traffic features such as randomness, complexity and uncertainty, makes it extremely hard to build accurate model if use the method of pure mathematics. Usually used widely in control theory and control mode has amounted to less than satisfactory control effect. In order to promote the running efficiency of urban traffic network by greatest extent, the intelligent traffic control method which is developed with High and new technology is used to solve the traffic congestion has become the most effective and most economical way.In recent years, the traffic of road network in Harbin is growing rapidly, most of the urban road has showed congestion situation. The provincial government intersection in Harbin a few years to render the frequent traffic congestion, rush hour average vehicle delay five to seven minutes, often need two or three signal cycles to pass, if in bad weather such as rain, snow, fog and so on, traffic congestion is more serious. Therefore, intelligent control methods is used to control the provincial government intersection has the very vital significance for improving urban road congestion and improving traffic capacity. This article takes the more serious congestion intersection near the provincial government Zhongshan Road and Peace Road-Zhongxuan Street intersection as research object, through traffic survey and analysis, and put forward the peak timing control and non-peak period fuzzy logic intelligent control strategy methods. Not only overcome the fuzzy control in poorly controlled state peak periods, but also play the advantages of the traditional timing control.First, in the fuzzy control scheme in non-peak periods, combined with fuzzy control in the application of urban traffic signal control, we establish the four phases fuzzy controller which the goal is to reduce the average delay. The design of fuzzy controller, including the design of fuzzy controller structure, the design of the fuzzy algorithm, the design of membership functions and establish the control rules, and use MATLAB to realize. Finally, the scheme through MATLAB simulation analysis and compared with the timing control, the results indicate that the unit vehicle delay biggest can reach more than30%and verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.Secondly, in the timing control scheme in peak period, based on the peak time measured traffic flow data, Webster method is adopted to optimize signal timing design. We set up the simulation network and simulation analysis on the intersection control scheme by microscopic traffic simulation software VISSIM. The result shows that the queue length decreased by12%, the delay time decreased by10.6%, the optimized scheme can better improve traffic congestion.Finally, the control system hardware and software is designed, which made the STC12C5A60S2as the core, and make a brief introduction to the circuit and software programs design of each part. In the hardware part, we emphasis introduce the design idea and working principle of single chip microcomputer minimum system, traffic detection circuit, clock circuit, digital tube display circuit and so on. In the software part, we emphasis introduce the design flow of main program, fuzzy control module subroutine, timing control module subroutine, green collision detection module subroutine and key interrupt processing program. Through testing the working process of the control system, proved that the control scheme is feasible.
