Anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt pavement was emerged in the70s.It was introduced into our country in the80s. It is also known as the big voidage open graded drainage asphalt wearing layer, and belongs to new pavement material. Its properties of antiskid, noise-reduction, and waterproof have been widely attended around the world. Compared with ordinary asphalt mixture, anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt mixture has these properties with larger void of space frame, and big proportion of coarse aggregate. The anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt pavement has higher requirements on raw materials with high temperature stability, water stability and mechanical properties.This thesis grasps the situation and dynamic at home and abroad through accessing to a large number of domestic and overseas related literature and data. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of the anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt pavement, this paper sets the mixture design goal, researches on raw materials technical requirements about OGFC mixture, selects the grading and the the optimum asphalt content. This paper has researched on asphalt mix design through a large number of indoor tests. In addition, the quality of raw materials is the successful first step on the pavement design. The high viscosity modified asphalt is chosen for this design. By research and analysis, this paper chooses a void ratio as the goal gap rate of20%,20%viod ratio is chosen as the goal void ratio,2.36mm mesh is taken as key mesh in this paper. The voidage is adjusted by controlling the2.36mm hole pass rate, then the best gradation can be determined. The optimum asphalt content is determined through experience calculation method and flow experiment. Then through the study of road using performance of asphalt mixture, by indoor experiments like Marshall test, flying test, leak test, rutting test, immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test, compressive strength.etc, the high temperature stability, water stability of asphalt mixture performance and mechanical performance are researched in this paper. The results show that the OGFC mixture technical indexes meet the requirements of the current specification, which says the anti-skid and noise asphalt has good road performance. Combining with the test section, this paper studies the key technology of OGFC pavement construction, proposes the pavement construction technology and the engineering quality detection technology.The basalt usually used as aggregated rock of asphalt mixture in anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt pavement. The basalt has the quality of hardness, good wear, but its prices is higher and distribution in Hunan is limited. The limestone price is relatively lower and widely distributed. This paper respectively studies the limestone and basalt as stone of anti-skid and noise asphalt mixture, and respectively gets the results of marshall stability and flow values, rutting depth and residual stability, compressive strength and splitting strength. The results show that the mixture of limestone and basalt have little difference between the test results. The properties of limestone are slightly lower than basalt, but still can meet with technical standards. It can be concluded that high-quality limestone can instead the basalt as coarse aggregate of asphalt mixtures to a certain extent. This paper also uses the polyester fiber as the contrast tests, these tests show that the performance of anti-skid and noise-reduction asphalt pavement with the polyester fiber is improved.
