The construction industry has been dominated by the ease of the position inChina’s economic development, with the increasingly fierce market competition; theintensity of investment in construction projects presents a huge growth. As thecontinuous innovation of design concept, technical difficulty also increases, risks thatconstruction projects are confronted with exhibit more and more obvious diversity insuch environments, the difficulty of project risk management also gets along withcontinuous improvement. As we all know, whether risk management succeed or not,generates a critical impact to results of entire project management. While, at present,our country’s research on the construction project risk management mostly is stilllimited for applications of general process of a single risk management and riskanalysis methods. Although numerous participants of construction project have ahigher emphasis on the risk management, they are lack of awareness of collaborativemanagement and most of them just depart from their own point of view. It can be saidthat China’s construction project’s risk management is under the state of fragment,which is lack of reasonable management system; there is not scientific and rationalsystem.With the development of science and technology, the application of informationtechnology is more and more frequently in the construction industry; these informationtechnologies provide a strong technical support for establishing effective riskmanagement system. The researchers focus their attention to how to apply informationtechnology into project management, so the research of informationization of projectmanagement has become an irresistible trend.This paper adopts the concept of intellectual construction, focusing such fouremerging information technology of BIM, networking, pervasive computing and4Dvisualization techniques, to carry on the study of building risk managementinformation model of construction project. Through the literature re view sums up thecurrent situation of integrating application of risk management and global informationtechnology, and analyzes the applicability of the four information technology that areapplied in risk management of construction project. During the process of this study, itrounds ideas and angles of collaboration and integration to establish a riskmanagement information model on construction project based on the concept ofintellectual construction. To analysis functional requirements of the model anddescribe the overall framework of the model, integrating the process of riskmanagement into the model. And then to analysis application methods that apply specific technology what establish the model needs. And through the case to simulatethe application of the management information model of construction project,reflecting the real value of the model and analyzing the external support andcountermeasures of the model while in the actual promotion and application.
