Different specification of the rectangular box loading problem exists in theindustrial field widely, especially in container loading problem in the major port andtrade center. In the postal system, due to the increase of cost of human resources andincreased package delivery volume year by year, the automatic pallet problem ofpostal parcels has received more and more attention. At the same time, with thedevelopment of industrial robots and industrial automation level, palletizing robottechnology has been developing in the more intelligent direction. In the future,automatic parcel sorting palletizing technology will become a mainstream trend in thepostal enterprises. So far, a lot of studies have been done on container loadingproblem, and many scholars have put forward their own researches on sortingproblem of industrial robots, while the study about how to use industrial robot inpostal sorting system needs to be researched. Based on the published studies, thispaper designs a parcel sorting system, and puts forward a pallet algorithm to solve theparcel sorting problem.First of all, by studying the current sorting system, the key equipment of sortingsystem is selected, and the solution of sorting palletizing system is designed. Throughanalyzing a variety of solutions about palletizing modeling, the solving scheme isdetermined.Secondly, by analyzing solving scheme of the parcel pallet, postal parcelstacking problems are classified according to different factors. Then according to theparcel post pallet classification, the mathematical model for single container problemis established. The mathematical model of parcel pallet is based on heuristicalgorithm.Then, main rules based on the heuristic algorithm for parcel pallet are studied,and based on the heuristic rules, the specific heuristic algorithm is designed, besides,the solving process of the whole system is put forward. Then the simulationexperiment is designed to prove the validity of the heuristic algorithm.Finally, this system uses VB6.0and MATLAB7.0as the main development toolsand uses Arena as a simulation tool to design and develop the parcel palletizingsystem based on heuristic algorithm.In this paper, parcel palletizing system based on heuristic algorithm is applied tothe actual postal system. The operator uses the man-machine interface to control andoperate the system, the parcel sorting efficiency is improved, and the consumption ofhuman resources is reduced. Thereby this research has important application value.
