This article mainly aims at Jiaokou irrigation district faced all kinds of problems in theutilization of water resources, such as the poorer water quality of Wei River, the shortage ofirrigation water during the summer, easy to occure salinization during spring and winter, etc.The establish groundwater flow model on MODFLOW of study area was proposed toresearch and analyze irrigation water of Jiaokou irrigation district, and the water resourcesallocation scheme under different situation are put forward. Paper’s main results are asfollows:1. Using the MODFLOW establishes numerical simulation of groundwater model in thestudy area and tests the model. The fitting error is less than1m. So, it has a good effect andsuggests the numerical model can objectively describe the ground water flow movementcharacteristics.2. According to the types of Jiaokou irrigation crops, growth cycle, irrigation quota, wecalculate the crop water requirement in Jiaokou irrigation area during a year. Except inSeptember and October, all periods need to irrigate, and the total irrigation amount is1.4619×108m3for a year.3. By analyzing the characteristics of the Wei River water, we found its quality is badthan Class V in the point of pumping in Wei River section. Irrigation with the Wei River waterwould cause great harm. Therefore, we put forward the water allocation plan under theconsideration of the status quo and the characteristics of the Wei River water. We aim tominimize the use of poor quality of surface water, thus for protecting groundwater qualityfrom pollution, and ensure drinking water for people and livestock safety.4. Combining the characteristics of "Yin Han Ji Wei" project, Wei River water qualitymay be restored at some point in the future. So, we put forward the water allocation plan torestore the groundwater level. If the Wei River water quality has improved in2040, it needs20years to restore the water level. If the Wei River water quality has improved in2050, itneeds30years to restore the water level. After restoring the water level, Wei River waterquality has been improved, we proposed a predictive plan to prevent waterlogging hazards.5. According to the program features, the current situation and the forecast situation, we proposed water allocation plan under different guaranteed rate of rainfall against the drought. In the current situation, we should use groundwater source for the shortage of water in dryyears. In the forecast situation, we should use the surface water source for the shortage ofwater in dry years.
