Study On The Detection Method Of In-use Natural Gas Vehicle’s Gas Consumption With The Theory Of Carbon Balance

As the natural gas vehicle promoted and used in the road transport industry in our country in recentyears, its’ ownership is increasing rapidly, which lead to the focus on emissions and consumption of naturalgas vehicle has been on the agenda. According to valid data statistics, at present, the main cities usingnatural gas as vehicle’s power source still lack of effective methods and equipment to test the emissions ofthe gas consumption of natural gas vehicle, which leads to not being able to have a objective evaluation forthe economic and environmental benefits of using natural gas vehicle and then influence that the naturalgas vehicle industry enact standards and policies timely, which will hinder the further promotion andapplication of natural gas vehicle, therefore we needs to put forward a new kind of method detecting theconsumption of natural gas vehicle to solve this problem.Due to the fuel consumption inspection without disassembling is the trend of automotive fueleconomy inspection, so under the premise that the carbon balance method is used to measure the fuelconsumption, this paper presents the detection method of natural gas vehicle’s gas consumption based onthe theory of carbon balance.First of all, through analyzing the present situation of natural gas vehicle industry development athome and abroad, we master the ownership and usage of natural gas vehicle at current situation, and get theopinion we need a new gas consumption detection method by the analysis of the existing gasconsumption’s measurement method. Then we draw lessons from the carbon balance method used inmeasuring the fuel consumption and set up the model of gas consumption detection based on the theory ofcarbon balance. After setting up the model, we analyze the structure and working principle of closed andopen type’s carbon balance detection system and determine the suitable type, and then put forward therelated factors affecting the system detection’s accuracy. Through analyzing the influence on the test resultsof automobile technology condition and dilution ratio, we will give the corresponding solutions, whichmake the error of measurement meet the requirements. At last, we give the design scheme of hardwaresystem and software system and the process measurement and control for realizing the detection function ofsystem, and then put forward the calculation method of gas consumption and the testing conditions of gasconsumption detector, completing the research of carbon balance method used to detect the gasconsumption.
