The Research On Space Form Of The Neighbourhood Recreational Space In Compact Neighbourhoods In PRD

With the advance of urbanization, the collective housing has become amainstream form of residential housing, it is also experiencing the changes focusingon from efficiency to comfort, and from the number of residential space to the qualityof transition. Due to the high population density and the shortage of land index in thePearl River Delta (PRD), it is a realistic choice to develop compact neighbourhoodsmainly based on high-rise collective housing for the residential quarters of cities inthis area in the future. Compact neighbourhoods has its rationality in aspects ofincreasing urban activities, mixing function space, creating rich layers of spatial formand adapting to the sustainable development. But it also brings us some problems, likethe lack of recreational space, inequality of spatial distribution and so on. Therecreational space design of compact neighbourhoods has become one of theimportant tasks in residential construction nowadays. The recreational space design ofcompact neighbourhoods in Guangzhou and Shenzhen can be the represent for PRD,both the planning concept and the design standards are at a domestic leading level.However on the whole aspect, there are still a large number of recreational spaces inresidential quarters which are of poor overall quality. This study closely combinesResidents recreation behavior with space form, trying to explore a effectiverecreational space form design method which fits with Residents recreation behaviorthrough inductive analysis of spatial form of recreational space in compactneighbourhoods in PRD. We hope that it can have a positive reference for the futureconstruction of recreational space in the compact neighbourhoods.This paper can be divided into the following5chapters:Chapter1: Describe the background, purpose and significance of the SubjectResearch. Explain the topic and related concepts and briefly analyze the relevantresearch trends at home and abroad.Chapter2: Sort out the development condition of recreational space of collectivehousing at home and abroad. Clarify the significance of recreational space research;describe the current characteristics and main problems of the domestic system of recreational space in compact neighbourhoods in PRD.Chapter3: Sit on the basic behavior of the residents of a preliminary study,analyzes the interaction between the residents and the spatial form of leisure behavior,briefly discusses the design methodology residents spatial form under the influence ofrecreational behavior, lay the foundation for subsequent research.Chapter4: Summarize the different forms of recreational space layout, and citeseveral examples corresponding analysis; basic leisure behavior from residents andspatial feeling to start a number of typical examples further selected from each layoutform, for layout, spatial scales, step recreational space, recreation space to sit foursub-analysis was performed to explore the form of compact neighbourhoods suitableopen space design.Chapter5: Select the Rose Garden, the Huajing district as two specific cases forin-depth research and analysis. Use the spatial form design method described above toexplore the deficiencies and improvement strategies of the recreational space in theform of design for the future shape designed to provide recreational space reference.
