Research Of Planning Of Coastal Resort In East Pearl River Delta

With the economic focus of Pearl River Delta from Pearl River Age to South China Sea Age, the developing of coastal resort is facing unprecedented challenge and opportunity. Tourism in Hainan Province has been skyrocketing after the approval of general planning of building Hainan into a top international tourism destination, which is a great challenge and competition of East Pearl River Delta and even the whole coastal resort of Guangdong. To develop costal resorts must pay serious attention to the ocean's important roles. That is to utilize its ecological, natural landscape and economic values whilst to maintain correct development concept and sustainable development strategy with foresight.At present, the average level of coastal resort in East Pearl River Delta is still at the taking-off stage. After researching and analyzing its current situation, I find out some problems existing at many coastal resorts, for example, inconsistent characteristics or style, no thorough planning, misunderstanding in project developing, blurring lines of spatial framework. The critical causes are the inappropriate handling of the relation between ocean and the resort development in the planning, no thorough design or strategy, immature on general planning, construction of space pattern and control of building process.Considering the above problems, I recommend planning of coastal resort should have a clear theme– to make a full use of ocean as the core scenery and ecological resources, and to create distinctive and high-quality style for Pearl River Delta.Firstly I will study the relations between ocean and coastal resort and its influence on the planning; then I will summarize the exploiting condition of coastal resort and foresee its trend.Secondly, I will analyze the key points of the domestic and overseas outstanding cases and make a comparison among them, focusing on the strategies of developing and controlling and summarizing the advantageous.Thirdly, I will analyze the present situation of coastal resort in East Pearl River Delta, find out the characters of special division, analyze the regional tourism resources,spatial relationship with the sea, and other characteristics.Based on the above concepts, case studies and relevant analysis and led by the clue"to utilize ocean as the core scenery and ecological resources, to create distinctive and high-quality style for East Pearl River Delta", the key points and strategies of design on coastal resort in Pearl River Delta will be raised. and point out some problems worth considering in future redevelopment.Then pick up the representative for the detailed analysis,which different styles and different stage of development of coastal resort of East Pearl River Delta, from the overall planning, spatial form and control, space in its analysis and pointed out the problems of coastal resort in development. Through a typical case of the analysis and analyse its planning layout pattern and characteristics. Then sum up the problems of coastal resort in the different stage, raised key points in the reform and development which need attention.Finnaly, according to the Pearl River Delta coastal resort features, made at the regional level, the East Pearl River Delta coastal resort development strategy, and resort planning level analysis of planning models and their characteristics, functional area, traffic organization, project development and other aspects of planning proposals accordingly; the same time, the overall spatial form in the construction and detailed design of the space environment the two are put forward planning strategy, the final level in the development of control elements and control the proposed control method, is not currently integrated coastal resort proposes improvements to the control method.
