Ultrasonic motor (USM) is a new type of driver. Due to a lot of advantages, USM is widely usedin the field of aerospace. Recently, overseas researchers have taken the lead of carring out the basicexperiments of USM in abnormal environment. Currently, the domestic research on the reliability ofUSM in abnormal environment just begins. In view of the working situation and the importance oflinear ultrasonic motor (LUSM), the research on its ability in abnormal environment is essential andneedful.The purpose of this research is to discuss the reliability and function of LUSM in abnormalenvironment, and the effect law from different environment.This research treats V-type LUSM with two linear variable cross-section bars as the test object,and views the preload, ambient temperature and pressure as three variables, to measure the ability of itin different abnormal environments, and get the mechanical properties of it.Firstly, carry out the single environment factor experiment. We set that the preload and oneenvironment factor (temperature or pressure) are constant. By changing the other factor, we obtain thefunction trend of VLUSM, also to prepare the composite environment experiment.Secondly, carry out the composite environment experiment. We set the preload and twoenvironment factors (temperature and pressure) at the same time to form different compositeenvironments. And we can obtain the function trend of VLUSM in these environments.By comparing the datum, we finally confirm the influence on VLUSM by three factors. And byintroducing the theory, we analyse the cause of changing of the VLUSM function in different preloadand different environment factors.Lastly, by analysing the tendency of the VLUSM movement in abnormal environment andcombining the theory, we design a new type of VLUSM, which has a better configuration ofpiezoelectric vibrators and a stronger function. And the experiment can show that this type of VLUSMhas an outstanding output.
