| In this thesis, based on the flight dynamic model of the new type side-by-side helicopter and thebasics of the Explicit Model-Following Control System (EMFCS), the flight control system wasstudied and modeled.Different from the regular helicopter, side-by-side helicopter has symmetrical configuration ofrotors, which accordingly results to the symmetrical aerodynamic environment. The new characters ofthe helicopter require innovative methods to operate and control it, and likewise, this change leads usmany unexpected problems. In this thesis, the flight dynamics model of the side-by-side helicopter,which was afterwards identified as accurate, is established at first, after which, the EMFCS wasestablished on the basis of it, and then it follows that the operation maneuver and control systems arestudied, and the auto-flight system as well. Finally, the MATLAB/Simulink is used to simulate inorder to identify the performance of the control system. In addition, the operation system of the newtype side-by-side helicopter is, in particular, presented to compare with the regular helicopter and thetilt-rotor aircraft for its uniqueness.At last, due to the fairly precisely established dynamic and flight control system model, the resultof simulation of the control system is quite ideal. |
